WMC - The Camden College

We are looking for a full-time salaried tutor to deliver courses for ESOL and employability learners in community settings in Camden.  The role will also include assisting the Curriculum Manager to develop the outreach provision and support learner recruitment to community courses.

As well as community-based ESOL and generic employability courses, the community programme may include courses with a vocational focus that prepare learners at Entry level or level 1 for further study or work in areas such as childcare, health and social care, hospitality, retail etc.

The successful applicant will be a fully qualified teacher (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification) with an ESOL subject specialism and have a successful track record of teaching ESOL to adults in the community.  You will have experience of supporting the hardest to reach learners in classes of mixed levels and including learners with low levels of literacy or even no literacy. You will also have successful experience of embedding employability into your teaching.

If you are highly motivated with outstanding teaching skills and an ability to work effectively with a variety of partners in a range of community settings, we look forward to hearing from you.

The closing date for applications is Monday 2 March 2020 at 9 am.

Interview and assessment will take place on Wednesday 11 March 2020.
