As a Area Manager you will ensure the provision of an effective intensive housing management service to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, mental ill health, physical disabilities or who are on the autistic spectrum. You will provide day-to-day supervision and support to a team of Supported Housing staff. You will actively participate in the formulation and updating of procedures for the department ensuring adequate training is provided for staff and ensure that services meet all contractual and regulatory requirements
You will pro-actively lead, inspire and manage the responsive delivery ensuring adherence to all company policies, procedure and standards. You will ensure high quality housing related support services are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements. You will lead on maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in your area of operation. You will ensure that income is maximised including rents , service charges , voids and contracted support funding . You will support the departments ambition to grow by assisting in the preparation and submission of tenders and bids for new business.
You will work under the direction of the service Manager , to review procedures and service level agreements to ensure best practice is achieved .
You have proven experience in a management position within housing management or support role . You should have experience in the delivering values- driven service to your internal and external customers . You should have knowledge of relevant legislation , policy & regulations You will have experience of working with vulnerable people and will be self motivated with the ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision. You will have a desire to pass on knowledge and develop others. You’ll be organised and proactive, with excellent communication and IT skills. You will have experience in managing budgets , service level agreements and managing the team. You will have the ability and willingness to attend the meetings and other events outside of normal hours when required.
