About the role
Are you an experienced chef looking for a role that will make a difference to the lives of others?
Our Chef Managers manage all aspects of catering services in our residential homes for older people through the provision of nutritional, varied and well-presented meals and refreshments to meet the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents. This will include menu planning, ordering, being responsible for maintaining a safe working environment as well as training and managing a team of catering staff.
To be shortlisted for this role your application should clearly evidence:
- A relevant catering qualification (or extensive experience) as well as a recognised food hygiene award.
- Experience of running a busy catering service for a large number of people.
- Knowledge of environmental health requirements.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements of older people.
- Experience of managing a team.

The role is based in Service Delivery, which is the provider arm of the Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care directorate. Service Delivery provides direct care to individuals living in their own homes and in-house residential establishments across the county. The service is registered with the Quality Care Commission (CQC) and works in accordance with good practice guidance and standards.
