We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join a small team leading on a recently launched £8m SME skills support programme – Workforce for the Future. To deliver the programme successfully we will be working with a wide range of stakeholders from across the West of England region including local authorities, universities, colleges and training providers as well as not for profit organisations and those within the voluntary and charity sectors, as well as our colleagues within the Business and Skills Directorate.
The Project Officer role will be crucial to helping to drive the programme forward and due to the small nature of the team the role will be varied and provide an opportunity to get involved in many aspects of the programme’s delivery. You will therefore need to have excellent organisational skills, be a team player as well as being able to work independently and have excellent communication and influencing skills. You will also have a strong project background including progress monitoring and reporting and although not essential knowledge of the skills system and European funding would be helpful.
For an informal chat, please contact Alison Eldam, Project Manager Workforce for the Future, on: 0117 4566962.
Interviews will be held on Monday 30 March 2020.
