We are recruiting for a qualified Assistant Lawyer to work within the Council's In-house Litigation team undertaking prosecution and regulatory work.
You will have experience of criminal litigation work and some advocacy exposure. You will be confident in a court setting and be willing to develop your skills further. Experience and knowledge of Licensing and other Regularly work, would be desirable, although not essential as we will support and train the successful candidate.
You will be able to work at a pace, with a varied case load of all types of enforcement prosecution including Housing, Licensing, Planning, Markets & Street Trading, Food Safety and Environmental Protection.
You will also support the council's licensing committees and regularly undertake advocacy on your own cases.
