The Role

Southwark Council are recruiting for an experienced qualified Criminal/Regulatory Lawyer for the In-house Litigation Team.

You will be a confident Court Advocate and have a track record of successfully undertaking advocacy in the courts and also experience of licensing work.

You will be able to work at a pace, with a varied case load of all types of enforcement prosecution including Housing, Licensing, Planning, Markets & Street Trading, Food Safety and Environmental Protection and undertake advocacy on your own case files.

You will also support and advise the Council's Licensing Committees and provide advice to the Council's departments on a range of Regulatory matters.

Additional Details


This role is Grade 11, with a salary range of £40,491 - £47,274 pa.

This role also attracts an additional market factor payment of 5% of salary and benefit package of up to £2327.
