ICT Technical Support Analyst

We have a vacancy for an ICT Technical Support Analyst to provide technical support to West Berkshire schools that buy back the services of the Education IT team. This is a permanent post.

The successful applicant will have an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and the Office suite, networking protocols as wells as PC, Laptop and Server hardware. Experience of building administering and supporting client server networks is essential. Knowledge of Office 365, G Suite management and virtual environments is desirable. Experience of working in schools in a technical support capacity would be an advantage.

You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy talking to callers on the telephone and dealing with them face to face. The main responsibilities are support for administrative and curriculum hardware and software in schools. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is keen to develop within the evolving world of ICT technical Support.

It is expected that you would make visits to schools and be able to work on your own initiative, managing your own time and workload as well as becoming part of a committed, dedicated Education IT support team.

You will have a clean driving licence and a car with the appropriate level of insurance to enable you to visit schools and transport ICT equipment.

This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
