You have proven experience of assisting service users within a supported housing environment and a good understanding of health and social care management. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Deputy Manager.
Our Kensington & Chelsea Supported Housing Service is a preventative homeless service for adults aged 18 and over with housing and support needs. Providing accommodation based housing support services for people deemed to be socially excluded, our aim is to increase our clients’ capacity to maintain their accommodation and live independently in the community. Your challenge will be to assist with the day-to-day management of the service contract and support those that use our services. You’ll also be responsible for helping to manage our staff resources, manage a case load, including inducting new members, managing the daily Rota and ensuring team development plans are in place. And, when it comes to seeing that data is entered correctly onto our system, helping to prepare management information or deputising for the Service Manager, again, we'll count on you.
To take on this challenging front line management role you’ll need proven relevant experience of leading, supervising and inspiring staff, using a firm but inclusive management style. You’ll also need the ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage conflicting priorities, coupled with sound judgment and flair for delegating work appropriately. Good investigation and negotiation skills are also required, as is tact and diplomacy. Self-motivated, flexible about working hours and able to engage effectively at all levels, you’re outcome, solution and task focused and happy to participate in on call arrangements.
