Case Officer (Support Services)

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and proactive individual excited by the challenge of a varied role within our Case Management (Support Services) team. Working in a multi-skilled team focused on delivering core support services, this is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of the council, shaping processes, ways of working, and providing excellent customer service to a whole range of stakeholders.

The primary function of the post holder will be to provide an efficient and effective finance service for the Council’s revenue and capital budgets, including providing financial advice and support to budget managers in respect of all finance related matters. The main tasks will include budget monitoring, reconciling transactions and reviewing accuracy of coding; assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and closure of accounts. The post holder would ideally have previous experience working in finance, possess strong excel skills, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. It would also be desirable if the post holder had previously worked for a public sector organisation.
