Full time – 37 hours per week - Permanent

Salary: £38,760 (£40,375 wef 1st April 2020) + market supplement of £7,095 per annum

This is a fantastic opportunity for a property professional who may be seeking a new challenge or who is keen to move from the private sector or to work locally escaping the London commute.

You will join a strong Buildings and Projects Team (Property Manager, Building Surveyor, M&E Engineer and Architectural Surveyor) that works closely with colleagues in the Estates and Development Projects teams.

As Building Surveyor you will project manage a variety of contracts, develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, ensure statutory compliance and provide an excellent surveying service alongside your professional colleagues working within the Council’s processes and challenges faced by Local Authority.

The purpose of the Buildings and Projects Team is to deliver capital reinvestment and improvement projects, and maintenance to a diverse portfolio of some 270 council properties, including the listed Town Hall & Theatre, Sports Centres, Car Parks, access roads, Crematorium & Parks buildings and tenanted housing and commercial properties.
