Planning Officer in Development management and Planning Enforcement

Take the first step in your planning career with us. This planning officer role sits within the development management team. This is a great opportunity for someone to take on a role within Wokingham Borough Council. You will work in a vibrant and busy Development Management Service and will have the opportunity to investigate breaches of planning control, deal with planning applications, planning appeals and pre-application enquiries. We will provide full training and support.

About You

A successful candidate will have to be enthusiastic, motivated and demonstrate an understanding of development management legislation and policies, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail, be organised, demonstrate ability to work closely with other services and the public, be able to work to strict deadlines. You should preferably have a background in planning and development or in planning / geography related subjects. You will need to have a full driving licence and access to your own transport for site visits.
