Customer Services Advisor - 18.5 hours per week

Our Customer Services team is the first point of contact for customers who visit our offices or telephone our Contact Centre.  We assist customers across a wide range of council services by providing information or recording their service requests, or by ensuring that they are referred to the right service area.

Working hours:  18.5 hrs   Monday 10:00-15:00, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:30-15:00                                          

The starting salary will be at our scale D (£18,795 pro rata) with progression depending on experience, skills and knowledge, as detailed in the job description to scale F (£24,799 pro rata). 

If you have good people skills and want to use these to deliver quality services to our customers, this may be the job for you. 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a commitment to providing excellent customer service

  • a willingness to learn and use their initiative
  • self-motivation 

You may be required to work at our Market Street and West Street offices in Newbury, on reception or in the contact centre. 

This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
