About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified (or part-qualified) accountant to join a high-performing finance team delivering a comprehensive accounting service for the Children and Adults department.
Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality financial advice and reporting to social care or education budget-holders. You will be proactive in providing comprehensive support and advice to all levels of management, including budget planning, forecasting, year-end closedown and project support.
To be considered you will need to be at least CIPFA part-qualified (or equivalent) and have recent, relevant experience in social care or education finance. You will be able to demonstrate excellent management skills, strong communication and presentation skills and you will also have a track record in delivering customer focused services.
Experience with the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) is highly desirable but not essential.
