Building Risk Assessor

£ 33,945.00 - £ 36,711.00 pa

To ensure the council’s duties and obligations in its management of council housing stock (with particular regard to health and safety fire risk) are fulfilled

To ensure the council’s records and databases are up to date and accurate with regard to its housing stock.

To ensure the council achieves its obligation with regard to regular inspection, data collection and monitoring in line with agreed priorities.

To produce ‘good practice notes’ and guidelines for Housing Property Services and to advise on all matters of fire risk assessment

What you’ll need to succeed:


- Appropriate qualifications IFE, NEBOSH Fire Safety certificate or similar

- A clear understanding of the industry Regulations & Requirements.

- A demonstrable understanding of Health & Safety Legislation.

- A good working knowledge of the Building Regulations and building construction

- A relevant building qualification (HNC as a minimum)

- Experience of working in a repairs & maintenance environment at the sharp end

- Great Customer service skills.

- Knowledge of contract management in a building maintenance and adaptations environment

You will need to hold a current full licence which enables the applicant to drive in the UK.
