Therefore, having good and demonstrable knowledge of legislations, policies and procedures in terms of the Freedom of Information Act, Data Protection Act, and GDPR is essential.

Although the successful candidate will be expected to be able to deal with all areas of the team, we are looking for someone to deal with complaint investigations and responding to member enquiries, primarily in relation to Housing matters. Therefore, having a knowledge of any aspect of the Council’s Housing policies and procedures and aware of Housing legislation is desirable, although not essential.

The successful candidate should have experience in investigating and resolving complaints and dealing with councillor and Member of Parliament casework.
