Social Worker – Children Looked After Team (Maternity Cover)

Bromley is committed to making children and young people in the Borough its top priority.  We are now entering Phase 3 of our Roadmap to Excellence with political and corporate leadership support all in place.

This role within the Looked After children Service is to cover a maternity absence in an otherwise fully permanent team. Bromley has made a huge investment in terms of staffing in order to lower case loads and CLA social workers carry between 10-12 cases.

You will be joining an ambitious service with strong leadership and clear lines of support. As part of the Bromley Promise there will be a dedicated two week induction programme upon joining us and you will also work in a small cluster team containing just four Social Workers/Seniors and one Team Manager. You will have dedicated time set aside for quality reflective group supervision supported by CAMHS alongside 1;1 supervision.

Bromley are working in a relationship based practice framework and we are looking for a social worker who is passionate about working with children in Care and will be able to offer committed and supportive relationships to our children. We have an active children in care council and care leaver forum and are proud to put children’s voices at the heart of our work.
