Exact Working Hours: Vary based on scheme/day. Typically: Mon-Sat: 9am-4:30pm, for After School Clubs: 2:30pm-6:30pm, Evenings 6pm-9pm, Sundays 10am-4pm

16-18: £5.03/hour | 18-20: £6.91/hour | 21+: £8.21/hour

About the role

The Role

We are on the search for passionate and enthusiastic Play/Youth Workers to join the growing Challengers Team! As a Play/Youth Worker you can expect to play all day ensuring the young people attending Challengers have the best possible time! Where else can you get paid to go swimming, bowling and a theme park all in the same week?

Although no prior experience is needed, this job is not without its physical and emotional challenges and you will be required to administer personal care and ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable young people in our care. This job would be perfect for anyone who enjoys working in a sociable, busy and well supported environment! Challengers is charity that provides Play and Leisure services to over 1400 disabled children and young people across the South-East. Our missions are to provide truly inclusive, fun and safe places where all disabled children and young people can spend time with their friends, and to offer a positive impact for families and the wider community.

We do ask that applicants for paid work are able to commit to working every Saturdays and/or 2 evenings per week during TERM TIME and/or during SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 3 days per week. We ask Volunteers to commit to 1 or 2 Saturdays per month and/or 1 evening per week during TERM TIME for a reasonable period of 6 months and/or 2 days a week during SCHOOL HOLIDAYS including Easter Summer and half terms.
