Compliance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Works Commissioning team in the Housing Department, delivering the full range of statutory compliance across the Housing portfolio for the London Borough of Newham.

The role is responsible for responsible for ensuring the Housing portfolio is fully complaint and in line with responsibilities and regulations.

We are looking for team players with experience of Keystone Asset management  or similar and those with a track record of success. 

Compliance Manager

£39,774 - 42,684 pa

To ensure the council’s duties and obligations in its management of council housing stock (with particular regard to health and safety fire risk) are fulfilled.

To ensure the council’s asset management records and databases are up to date and accurate with regard to its housing stock.

To ensure the council achieves its obligation with regard to regular inspection, data collection and monitoring in line with agreed priorities.

To produce ‘good practice notes’ and guidelines for Works Commissioning and to advise on all matters of fire risk assessment and other areas of compliance as necessary.

You will be a high performing individual with knowledge and experience of statutory compliance and regulations.

You will have highly developed communication skills and excellent planning and organisation skills.

You will be a skilled negotiator and be a creative thinker.

You will be innovative and have the ability to build positive working relationships within the organisation with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners.
