We are recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to join our Corporate Finance Team within Financial Support.

 

The Finance Department is at the forefront of the Council’s exciting plans for the future. We are an ambitious and forward-thinking Council with a number of high-profile projects on the go, including: a new Housing Development Company, Schools for the Future programme, M1-A6 link road and the building of several Integrated Health and Care Hubs. This has all been made possible thanks to our strong financial position, our growing tax base and commitment to continuous improvement.

 

This is a permanent opportunity within the Corporate Finance Team supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner working mainly with managers within the Resources, Transformation and Chief Executive’s Directorates to deliver financial management, planning and specialist reporting. You will have strong analytical and financial modelling skills and use  business intelligence to assist managers in making the best use of resources and evaluate options. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of revenue and capital projects.

 

AAT qualified or actively working towards you will have excellent organisational skills and be able to adapt to any given situation, demonstrating your ability to provide informed and reliable financial advice in all circumstances. You will be an excellent communicator and good team player with knowledge and experience of local government finance. Experience of SAP desirable.
