Junior Project Manager

The West of England has ambitious plans to deliver strategic transport infrastructure, including a Mass Transit system, for the region. As a result of this we have a fantastic opportunity for a project manager to join our Capital Delivery team. The role will be pivotal in assisting us to deliver and ensure that we make these ambitions a reality, working in partnership with industry leaders across the South West region.


Reporting to the Strategic Programmes Manager, they will assist in delivering strategic programmes and projects within the West of England which will include Bus, Rail and Cycling and Walking schemes. Working with the Strategic Programmes Manager on all aspects from project inception, securing funding, to commissioning and construction. Some programmes and projects are directly promoted by WECA, whilst others through partners with the ultimate focus on the development and delivery of projects to time, cost and quality. 


A strong collaborative approach through partnering with key stakeholders, operators and statutory authorities is paramount, along with experience in project management.


Having worked in multi-disciplinary teams, the post holder will have a proven talent within engagement across a variety of stakeholders to progress projects, demonstrating understanding of the engineering, commercial and organisational challenges involved in delivering projects across the transport infrastructure sector.
