Senior Building Surveyor

The Council promotes a healthy work-life balance and offers agile, flexible working options.

Whether you are an experienced Buildings Project Manager or Building Surveyor, this role offers both variety and flexibility. If you enjoy managing both projects and people, this is a great opportunity to have the best of both worlds.

Reporting to the Service Manager (Building Services), and working closely with other multi-discipline teams, this role is responsible for the maintenance of the council’s commercial portfolio, including the management of Garage stock across the borough.

Managing diverse teams of surveyors, administration staff and external contractors, you will develop schemes for planned maintenance, preparing feasibility studies, specifications and working drawings. You will also deliver responsive works and play a role in the Capital (non-housing) Refurbishment Schemes.

It is a great time to join the team, offering a healthy work-life balance, agile working environment in which flexible working is actively encouraged and opportunities to work on diverse projects due to the level of Council investment. Investment that has been recognised on a national level, reaching the finals for the Local Government Chronicle Awards, The Planner Awards and The MJ Local Government Awards.

We are working with JGP to recruit to this role. For informal enquiries or to arrange a call Adele D'Silva on 07985195260 or email Adele.Dsilva@jgp.co.uk

The closing date: Midday, 6th July

The selection process will be undertaken remotely.

Technical assessment: 10th July

Interviews to be held: 16th and 17th July
