This is a newly created position as part of the Council’s transformation agenda and an exciting opportunity to shape the role, offering high quality property services to both our internal and external customers.
This role reports directly to the Service Manager and will be the lead for electrical and mechanical compliance so it is essential that you have an understanding about regulatory requirements and have direct in experience in managing property services.
Managing a small team of surveyors and working with a variety of contractors to deliver works, your service will respond to maintenance requests via the helpdesk service, across Council owned property, as well as supporting rolling capital programmes, planned preventative programmes.
This would be a great opportunity for someone working as an engineer and who would like to move more into both people and project management. The team works with a high level of autonomy, so it is vital that you have people management experience to support the team to deliver to a high standard.
It is essential that the successful candidate holds a relevant, recognised qualification, in either a mechanical or electrical discipline. If you’re unsure if your qualification is relevant, please get in touch to discuss.
