More Information

Property Services Officer

Reporting to the Council’s Head of Buildings, Facilities and Administration, you will help deliver the Council’s building repairs plan through planned and responsive works across the Council’s property portfolio (which includes several leisure centres but not any housing).  In addition you will support the Estate Service Manager in delivering the Council’s Estates function through the provision of advice to internal and external customers relating to Council owned land, maintaining record systems and producing plans/maps.

This role may be suitable for a recently qualified candidate such as a graduate looking to apply what you have learnt and eager to gain experience at the start of your career in the property services sector. Equally this role would suit a qualified, experienced Property Services Officer looking to further your experience within a new organisation. Either way, you will have excellent IT and communications skills and will be able to travel independently, using your own car, throughout the borough to various sites (this post attracts an essential car user allowance).

This is a varied, interesting and challenging role which the right candidate will relish.

If you would like to find out more about the role, Stuart Edwards, Head of Buildings, Facilities and Administration, will be pleased to take your call on 01732 876153. (Direct candidates only please, strictly no recruitment agencies)

NB- in response to the covid-19 pandemic please be assured that all social distancing rules will be strictly adhered to throughout the recruitment and selection process. It is anticipated that the initial interview process will be conducted online with a further interview/assessment process for successful candidates carried out in person at the Council Offices adhereing to strict social distancing and hygiene rules.  At present the majority of office-based Council staff are working from home, it may be likely that you will be initially required to work from home to carry out certain elements of this role.  For any elements of this role that require travel around the borough an approriate risk assessment will be carried out.
