Human Resources Administrator

37 hours per week

We have a vacancy for an HR Administrator to join our small but busy team.  Supporting officers to deliver an effective and efficient HR/Development service to the Council and partner organisations, you will act as the first point of contact for all HR and training matters.

It’s varied work; you’ll be able to get involved in recruitment, training, health surveillance and records management as well as other general office duties.  You’ll also be able to participate in project work and represent the Council at recruitment fairs and other external events. The varied nature of this role provides an excellent opportunity to build on your existing HR skills and you will be supported to progress in your career as an HR professional.

You’ll possess GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate experience and competence. You will also hold a Certificate in Human Resources Practice or equivalent HR qualification. You’ll have demonstrable experience of working in an office environment and be competent at word processing and updating databases and spreadsheets.  With good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload with frequently changing priorities you’ll be an excellent team player with previous experience of working in a HR or Training function.

As part of the role, you will work with a small, but friendly and supportive, team and you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of flexible working, a generous holiday allowance, discounted staff parking and gym membership and a very competitive occupational pension. We’re an ambitious, modern and forward thinking Council and we’re looking for somebody with the same values as ours to join our team.

For an informal chat about the role please contact Fiona Kerry, Senior HR Officer on 01636 655242.
