Planning Enforcement Team Leader

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a  Planning Enforcement Team Leader to join their Planning Team.

We offer the assurance that interviews and onboarding can take place remotely, with interviews set to take place the week commencing 27th July 2020.


This role covers a variety of planning work including investigating breaches of planning control, drafting and serving enforcement notices and defending the Council's position in appeals.

As well as dealing with Planning Enforcement work there will be opportunities to deal with a wide variety of different types of planning application, including large scale major applications, you’ll participate in public inquires. This is a varied, challenging role where you’ll be given the opportunity to really develop your planning career.


We’re looking for an experienced planner who has the knowledge and interest to carry out this specialist role. As well as practical experience of major/complex enforcement, we need someone with strong communication and negotiation skills and a customer focused approach.

Possessing a relevant degree is a must and the successful applicant will also need membership to the RTPI.
