Salary: £26,317 starting salary, up to £32,029 (pay award pending)
Rushmoor Borough Council is seeking a dynamic and energetic Community Safety Officer to deal with antisocial behaviour and community safety issues across the borough.
This role will play a key part of the community safety team and the postholder will have the chance to play a part in developing this exciting service that sits within the council’s Operations department.
You will work in partnership across a wide range of agencies including; Hampshire Police, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, Youth Offending Teams and Housing Associations with the aim of reducing; antisocial behaviour, first time entrants to the criminal justice system, the fear of crime and repeat victims.
There will also be the opportunity to work on community projects, and to be part of our Prevent and Safeguarding response. A working knowledge of antisocial behaviour legislation and tools and powers would be desirable along with experience in building case files and taking statements.
The role is office based, although temporarily working from home to comply with Covid-19 restrictions.
