Parking Services Administrator

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and adaptable administrator for our Parking Services Team.

In this role you will help to deliver an efficient and effective car parking service by undertaking a wide range of administrative duties to the highest possible standard.

You must possess a good standard of education at GCSE Grade C or above including English and Mathematics (or equivalent) and have working experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

This role involves assisting with accurate and timely administration of the car parks, effective management of the Pay and Display equipment, professional management of contracts with external bodies, as well as managing Penalty Charge Notices and parking permits.

You will have direct contact with colleagues in other services within the authority, external agencies and members of the public.  You will have excellent numeracy, keyboard and communication skills and will be committed to high standards of customer service.

The hours of work are 37 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a shift rota basis. You will be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays in accordance to the needs of the service. This post is based at White Lund Depot, but currently facilitates home-working due to the COVID pandemic. This post is permanent.

The Council currently operates a Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post.

Last year Lancaster City Council unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
