System Administration and Project Manager

Are you an excellent project manager with housing, business analysis, and system expertise?

Do you have the experience to lead the procurement and implementation of our new housing ICT systems?

Can you lead a small team of System Administrators within our Housing Team in delivering excellent operational ICT systems?

We are commencing an extensive programme of updating and renewing our ICT systems to support customer relations, housing options and letting service, housing management, asset management, and repairs and maintenance, and we need your experience and skills to ensure

  • Excellent project team management and engagement of all teams using the systems
  • Developing specifications and managing the procurement processes
  • Understanding of system requirements and smooth integration with other council systems
  • Excellent partnership arrangements with suppliers
  • Proactive project management, implementation management, and contract management

You will also lead the operational administration of systems to ensure day to day support for users, a positive customer experience, and the maximisation of all systems.

Previous experience in ICT systems implementation and an understanding of the social housing sector is essential.

This post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 per week, working Monday to Friday. The Council currently operates a Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. This post is based within the Housing Department at Palatine Hall, however currently requires full time home working.

Last year Lancaster City Council unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
