Job Title: Waste Management Project Officer
Location: Hertford
Salary Range: £25,481 pa progressing to £34,728 pa
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in Hertfordshire County Council’s Waste Management Unit which is responsible for delivering the statutory functions of the Waste Disposal Authority for Hertfordshire including the provision of the Recycling Centre service and the treatment/disposal of Local Authority Collected Waste.

This role offers a chance to work in a rapidly changing sector with exciting, forward-thinking developments. It is a dynamic area of work with opportunities to lead on and contribute to a wide range of projects including those that are designed to reduce environmental, financial and service impacts.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to manage and lead projects, develop initiatives and provide support related to the effective and efficient delivery of the Waste Management Unit functions. With well developed organisational and project planning skills you will have the ability to manage a diverse workload with multiple deadlines and stakeholders and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
