Teaching Assistant

Rowan Park Teaching School is an outstanding Special School, which supports the learning and development of children and young people aged 3 -19 years.  The school has three sites; Rowan Park School for pupils aged 3-19 years with severe and complex learning difficulties, Rowan High School for pupils aged 11-19 years with a diagnosis of Autism and The Rowan Tree for Reception and Year 1 pupils’ who have a diagnosis of autism and learning difficulties.

The Governors are looking to see a number of Teaching Assistants across the three sites as follows:

Rowan Park School, Sterrix Lane, Litherland

1 x 32.50 hour post – hours are Monday and Wednesday – 8.45 a.m. to 16.30 p.m., Tuesdays – 8.45 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday – 8.45 a.m. to 15.30 p.m. (32.50 hours per week) (45 minute unpaid lunch break)

2 x 12 hour posts – hours are Thursday and Friday – 8.45 a.m. to 15.30 p.m. (12 hours per week) (45 minute unpaid lunch break)

Rowan High School, Sterrix Lane, Litherland

5 x 32.50 hour posts – hours are Monday and Wednesday – 8.45 a.m. to 16.30 p.m., Tuesdays – 8.45 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday – 8.45 a.m. to 15.30 p.m. (32.50 hours per week) (45 minute unpaid lunch break)

1 x 32.50 hour post – hours are Monday and Wednesday – 8.45 a.m. to 16.30 p.m., Tuesdays – 8.45 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday – 8.45 a.m. to 15.30 p.m. (32.50 hours per week) (45 minute unpaid lunch break)

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with children and young people with disabilities and are committed to ensuring everyone achieves success in their academic, social and independent skills.

Due to the number of posts, it is anticipated that interviews will be held over 2 days.
