KS2 Teacher (maternity cover) - Fairview Community Primary School

We wish to appoint a Key Stage 2 teacher from January 2021 to cover a maternity leave in Year 3.

We are delighted that Ofsted judged us as a ‘Good School’ in April 2019

Fairview is a three form entry primary school with nursery provision. We have extensive outside learning space, well resourced classrooms and a strong staff team who all work together in partnership as colleagues and as friends. We also have onsite childcare provision from 3 months.

We are looking for someone who is:
 an outstanding primary practitioner, who has very good curriculum knowledge;
 able to motivate and inspire children of all abilities;
 well organised, efficient and who has excellent inter-personal skills;
 caring with a good sense of humour;
 able to work collaboratively;
 willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities and take an active part in the wider life of the school; and
 committed to safeguarding all children.

In return, Fairview offers:
 very well behaved and motivated children who are willing to learn;
 the support of a positive, good and hard-working staff team;
 a well resourced, vibrant school;
 a creative curriculum and
 a range of opportunities for professional development.

This post would suit an experienced teacher (and on this occasion NQTs are not eligible to apply).

Please download the attached job description. Applicants should state their curriculum strengths.

Visits to Fairview are strongly encouraged; please contact the school to arrange a visit on 01634 338710 or email Julie Trundle at

Any offer of employment for this post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.

Closing date for applications Thursday 22 October 2020 at noon

Interviews To be confirmed.
