Sales Support Apprentice

Horsham District Council are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-driven Apprentice to be part of our team providing a high quality service to our commercial waste department.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy working environment with opportunities to further your career through training and development. As the Sales Support Apprentice you will need to excel in building excellent relationships with both our customers and colleagues. Your main duties will include responding to new and potential customers via the phone and email as well as carrying out a range of sales and marketing duties with training and support on a range of different systems provided.

The ability to provide a high level of customer service is essential as you will be managing enquires from a range of clients from corporate clients to sole traders. You need to be customer focused and possess an excellent ability to problem solve and work in a fast paced, ever varying environment. You must be versatile and able to communicate with customers, internal workforce and the general public tactfully and in a polite and professional manner. In addition, the successful candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a pro-active approach and a flexible can-do attitude to assisting where required.

The Qualification

You will be fully supported to achieve a Level 3-4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship. 20% of your working week will be dedicated to off-the-job learning.

The course will involve a mix of classroom workshops and remote learning. We will provide the necessary resources, dedicated study time each week, and on-the-job mentoring to equip you with the skills, experience and knowledge required to fulfil this role.
