We’re looking for an experienced Fibre Surveyor who wants to make a difference and likes a challenge. If you have experience of project managing a full-fibre broadband installation within a domestic setting (including civils, cabling, PIA, and overhead cabling), a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join the Asset Management team as a Project Surveyor.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll project manage the day-to-day rollout of full-fibre broadband across the entire Optivo property portfolio (approx. 45,000 properties), working with multiple connectivity providers, and deliver on the commitments set out in the Optivo Digital Infrastructure Approach. You’ll undertake all works associated with and including the surveying and planning of optimal fibre optic (FTTP/FTTH).
What you’ll need
You’ll have strong technical knowledge and practical experience of full-fibre broadband installations, ideally installations for residential customers (including civils, cabling, PIA, and overhead cabling).
You’ll have experience ensuring fire compartmentation regulations are not breached during the surveying and installation phase.
You’ll have the ability to read CATV or telecom construction blueprints
You’ll have experience of project managing and delivering major works and service contracts.
You’ll have experience of undertaking property surveys and specifying and tendering work.
You’ll have experience surveying fibre optic network infrastructure including ducts and potentials for upgrades.
You’ll have extensive experience managing sub-contractors delivering utility works from inception to completion.
You’ll have knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, in regards to building, construction and health & safety.
You’ll manage day to day actions including taking corrective action where necessary and report regularly on the progress of individual phases of installation.
You’ll undertake the role of lead officer and follow the Optivo contract management framework. Meeting external contractors on a monthly basis to monitor performance.
You will work with a range of residents and colleagues, so a positive approach to collaborative team working is essential. You’ll need to live our one team culture!
You’ll need a Full UK Driving License
