The HR system is central to all our employee information and provides vital data to other software systems in use across the Service such as the mobilising of crews, risk reduction and payroll, to name but a few. Providing management information and reports is also an essential part of the system.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to administer, develop and maintain the new HR system and provide accurate, timely statistical information to assist DFRS in achieving the vision of ‘Making Derbyshire Safer Together.’ You will need excellent communication skills with the ability to analyse, review and present data in a professional format. Working with a high level of accuracy, you will be extremely proficient in the use of IT systems and the MS Office Suite especially Excel. Experience of maintaining and developing information systems and databases and delivering effective solutions to mitigate data risks is also essential.

Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection and GDPR is essential.  GCSE passes in Mathematics and English (Grade A-C or level 4 and above or equivalent) and BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in Business and Administration are also essential.

To ensure a smooth transfer to the new system, you will initially work alongside the current post holder for information handover and also with the project team to support the overall implementation.

If you think this is a role that you would enjoy then we would love to hear from you.

The normal working week is 37 hours however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours. In return we offer flexible working hours, family friendly policies, free car parking, health & wellbeing services, discount scheme and eligibility to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Police security vetting procedures at the appropriate level will be requested for the successful applicant. Please note that, due to the nature of security checks undertaken, applicants must have 3 years continuous residency in the UK up to the date of the application and Home Office approval for indefinite leave to remain within the UK.

The closing date for completed applications is midnight on Sunday 25th October 2020.  Interviews will be held in the week commencing 2nd November 2020.
