Adult Social Care’s Commissioning Service is leading a large scale transformation programme to deliver new models of accommodation with care and support to Surrey’s residents. Our ambition is to support Surrey’s older people and individuals with learning disabilities to live healthy, active and fulfilling lives. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Adult Social Care Commissioning Service as a Project Officer, working across projects which have a real impact on our residents.
You will be working as part of a dedicated, enthusiastic and supportive team and will be involved in, but not limited to:
- Developing change proposals based on your collection and analysis of evidence
- Working with staff and partners to coordinate the successful delivery of projects and service improvements
- Working alongside senior managers to identify and respond to project risks and issues as they emerge
- Carrying out consultation and engagement with residents, carers and partners
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised person with an authoritative and credible approach. You will have excellent communication skills, be ready for a challenge and be able to drive through change. Good analytical skills with an attention to detail are also key for this role, as is the ability to manage priorities effectively.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of using project management methodology to define and deliver agreed outcomes. They must be able to build positive working relationships with others. Knowledge and understanding of how local authorities operate and the national adult social care policy agenda would also be beneficial.
The Adult Social Care Commissioning Service is based in the Adult Social Care Directorate. The Directorate provides a range of services to vulnerable adults and older people across Surrey, including information and advice, care needs assessments and the provision of day, residential and community-based services.
