Schools Finance Accountant

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join Lambeth’s busy schools finance team.  The role will include the reporting and budget monitoring of Lambeth schools’ .  The main areas of responsibility will be managing the monthly processes for schools, leading on year end for schools closing accounts, also audit and review the financial performance of Lambeth schools.

The role involves daily interactions with all Lambeth schools to provide advice and support to their financial processes.  You will have two staff members to manage and assist with this process. 

We are looking for a talented, experienced, and enthusiastic professional to play a key role in the providing a financial oversight to Lambeth schools and also develop new systems for monitoring the financial management within this area.

To be successful in this role you will have a comprehensive understanding of Schools financial processes and have experience of closing schools accounts and consolidation within the local authority.  You should be able to analyse and present large amounts of complex data.  You will also have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will also have significant finance experience in dealing with schools accounting within the local authority.
