We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated ICT Team Leader to join our small but busy ICT team to assist the ICT Services Manager and to work across a number of projects as well as to maintain and develop the council’s systems and infrastructure.
We are looking for an individual with Team Leader people management experience who is also a strong IT generalist with the ability to turn your hand to the maintenance, upgrade and diagnostics of systems and infrastructure within a Microsoft Windows/Azure/VMWare/Citrix environment.
Reporting to the ICT Services Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of 4 Senior ICT Officers and 2 Helpdesk Technicians, undertaking appraisals and managing their performance and development.
You will have worked on an IT Support Helpdesk previously, ideally in a managed service environment, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ICT service supports approximately 290 licensed users, comprising of directly employed staff, elected members and staff from partner organisations. We are in process of enabling the councils Smarter Services programme, which aims to improve service delivery and efficiency through the utilisation of technology and the right candidate will have the opportunity to help deliver and even shape change within the organisation.
