West Berkshire Council is seeking to recruit a Wider Determinants of Health Programme Officer to work within the Public Health and Wellbeing Team.
This is an exciting role for a well organised, self-motivated, individual to support the development, commissioning, delivery and evaluation of high quality evidence based public health programmes and services. The role will have a particular focus on workplace health, health and planning, obesity and physical activity.
The applicant will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills and have experience of developing relationships across local communities with internal and external partners/organisations and stakeholders.
The Public Health Team strives to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes of residents in West Berkshire and to reduce health inequalities as outlined in the West Berkshire Council Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
