Senior Youth Worker - YCH Services for Young People
Salary: £33,105 - £35,983 pa
Location: North Herts

Our service is the primary provider of youth work; information, advice and careers guidance, work related learning and work experience to young people across Hertfordshire.

We are a key contributor to the prevention and early intervention / early help agenda including our aim of supporting young people to make a successful transition to an economically independent adult life by ensuring that young people get the help they need early whilst reducing the necessity for higher cost specialist intervention.

Our aim is to enable young people to succeed by providing high quality informal education opportunities to promote their personal and social development.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to be part of a team working with vulnerable and at-risk groups to deliver preventative programmes, evidencing learning outcomes and delivering to targets and contracts.

This role will see you deliver projects and establish new initiatives which develop, with young people, stimulating and challenging youth work programmes. The role will require you to work in group settings and deliver one-to-one to identified individuals.

The ability to quickly establish positive relations with diverse groups of young people (and partners) as well as being a good communicator and advocate of young people is a key skill that is required for this role.

There is the requirement to deliver face to face work in accordance with JNC terms and conditions including residentials.

  • Excellent Career Development
  • Salary exchange for additional benefits
  • Excellent pension scheme with employer contributions
  • Discounts on everyday shopping/holidays/entertainment/leisure along with cashback with our Herts Rewards Scheme
