Community Infrastructure Levy Allocations Officer

About the Role
In this post you will be a member of the planning policy team responsible for monitoring and reporting the delivery of projects funded from contributions collected via the Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). You will be supporting the Local CIL Spending Panels who recommend where Local CIL funds are spent. You will then monitor the delivery of Local CIL funded projects by other Council departments and partner organisations. You will assist with the review of the Council’s 5-year programme of Strategic CIL projects: including new call for projects and analysis of project bids and support other team members.

About the Person
• We are looking for someone who cares about a place having the infrastructure it needs. You will be organised and an excellent communicator with a great eye for detail. You will be able to work well on your own and as part of a team, keeping motivated and being adaptable to the task in hand.
Excellent numerical skills and competence in the use of spreadsheets, knowledge and understanding of the planning system, in particular the Community Infrastructure Levy and infrastructure delivery. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to working are vital.

• Qualifications and experience (if required) –
Excellent knowledge of Excel, experience of project delivery, knowledge of CIL Implementation and Exicom would be desirable.
