Elizabeth Fry Charity operates an Approved Premises for women in Reading. The Approved Premises accommodates 24 women on licence, bail and community sentences. We work closely with our partner agencies to manage risk, protect the public and support women to make positive changes to their lives.
Resettlement and Support Officer (Nights)
Average 35.5 hours per week (five week rolling rota)
Starting salary for a full time equivalent post is £25,152 per annum, with the potential to progress to £30,674.86 per annum.
(£24,132.32 to £29,431.28 pro rata for 35.5 hours per week)
25 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holiday additional payments.
Are you interested in working with women offenders, many of whom have substance misuse and other complex issues? Are you committed to teamwork? Are you able to demonstrate a flexible and creative approach to enable and assist offenders to live in the community leading law abiding lives?
The post involves working waking night shifts for an average of 35.5 hours per week on a rota basis. Ideally you should have experience of working within the Criminal Justice System and understand the importance of leading by example, encouragement and enthusiasm when working with this client group. This post will involve contributing to the running of the Approved Premises through completion of administrative tasks and monitoring of the residents/building throughout the night.
We are seeking self motivated and committed individuals to support our residents and assist the running of the Approved Premises. Excellent communications skills, administrative skills and team work skills are a must. You will receive regular supervision and appropriate training for your particular needs.
