Classroom Support Assistant - Chesnut Lodge School
SCP001-003 £17,943 - £18,562 per annum + SNA £1,324 per annum
Chesnut Lodge School are looking to recruit a temporary Classroom Support Assistant post to cover a maternity leave – Potentially from February 2021 to December 2021, or upon the return of the postholder.
Chesnut Lodge School caters for pupils aged 2 – 16 years, with complex needs arising from physical and medical difficulties. Currently there are 85 pupils on roll. The school is well resourced and enjoys a high profile within the local community.
The Governors are seeking to employ a flexible Classroom Support Assistant with a positive attitude and a passion for working with pupils with SEN. The post will require staff to support all age ranges and abilities throughout the school in the classroom and following training with other roles such as behaviour management and administering medication. Following training, you will also be required to meet the intimate care needs, follow physiotherapy programmes and support swimming sessions. Candidates should note that this role will require them to physically get into the swimming pool to support with swim sessions.
This physically demanding role will require good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively both as a key member of the team and independently. The successful applicant will:

- Have the ability to work effectively within a team environment, understanding and respecting the roles and responsibilities of the different staff in school
