Talented C# .NET, Javascript Developer

This is a new and exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding small development team and join us in our digital transformation journey towards realising our Digital Strategy.

The TMBC IT team are going through a period of growth following an internal restructure. A new application developer position has been introduced as a result of this growth, and we are looking for an individual who can join our small team and help us deliver the Digital by Default government agenda.

You will be involved in the development and integration of new and exciting online and back-office applications, maintaining systems, evaluation and implementation of software packages, support, configuration and maintenance of third party applications and integrations and assisting the Application & Development Team Manager in other areas of ICT.

You will have a strong C#, .NET, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS3 and MS SQL skills, with good understanding of OOP and defensive programming and wouldn't think of coding any other way. Not using VCS, especially Git, scares you.

Having solid knowledge of JSON, XML, Oracle and MySQL/MariaDB, SOAP, REST, WAIG, usability and UX as a part of your skillset will be a definite advantage, as well as managing and configuring IIS and Apache.

Keeping yourself up to date with changes in technologies should be a second nature to you. Training on new technologies and applications where required will be provided to you according to the council’s business demands.
