Infrastructure Delivery Officer
Grade - SO1 £30,585 - £31,557 per annum
X1 Permanent, Full time (36 hours) position
We are looking for talented professionals to help us deliver substantial improvements to our neighbourhoods and places and innovative projects.
Enfield’s Place Directorate is building its capacity to enable successful placemaking in one of London’s most ambitious boroughs. Our multidisciplinary team is progressing a new Local Plan, which will help guide delivery of over 30,000 new homes alongside jobs, infrastructure, amenities and other uses to support Enfield’s existing and future communities, and taking a lead on enabling high quality places and proactively guiding schemes through the development management process.
The Infrastructure Delivery Officer will join the Place Directorate as we embark on a range of exciting multi-billion pound developments (including Meridian Water and Piccadilly Line modernisation) and estate regeneration schemes that aim to transform the borough’s neighbourhoods and town centres, benefitting from significant funding from the Mayor of London, Transport for London and other sources. We are also leading on some of London’s largest environmental projects, including tree planting and rewilding of the former royal forest at Enfield Chase (as recently advertised on BBC’s Country file TV programme) and the continued restoration of the borough’s rivers.
At Enfield, we want to hear from applicants who can work collaboratively and creatively to support the delivery of funding programmes (including the Enfield Neighbourhood Fund) and supporting strategies. The postholder will be working with local communities and organisations to help them develop priority projects, such as open space and access improvements, youth services and event programmes, as they recover from the effects of covid-19 and climate change.
This role will also involve delivering high quality, robust and transparent decision-making within tight timeframes on matters relating to the administration of funding (community infrastructure levy and section 106 agreements) to ensure that the Place Directorate is recognised as delivering an excellent planning service to all of our customers. The postholder will also be working closely with other services and external partners to help administer the collection and monitoring of these contributions.
