Salary Range: £43,857 - £46,845 pa

Job Duties:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Manager in Adult Care Services Integrated Community Support Commissioning Team, based at Farnham House, Stevenage. 

The Integrated Community Support Commissioning Team is responsible for commissioning a wide range of services and support for vulnerable adults and older people in Hertfordshire. We work with providers and partner organisations to improve people’s long-term outcomes and deliver the support they need in the community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing the recently commissioned Specialist Care at Home contract. This is a countywide short-term enabling service that helps to manage down people’s long-term needs in their own home. This service works with those coming out of hospital and also those whose needs are increasing in the community.

You will be held accountable for the delivery of key strategic objectives that will improve citizens’ health and social care outcomes, understanding challenges, designing solutions and making sure that the way that we commission services is both cost-effective and sustainable.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders and partner organisations including both operational and commissioning colleagues. These stakeholders include: NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS Acute/Community/Mental Health Trusts, District Councils, and other statutory, private and voluntary sector providers. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and flexible solutions to the challenges facing Hertfordshire’s health and social care system.

With an ability to work under pressure and successfully manage multiple priorities you will continuously seek improvements in the quality of services and work closely with providers and any relevant stakeholders to resolve things where concerns or issues are identified.

There will be line management responsibility.

Business travel will be required as part of the role.
