Growth Boroughs Partnership Manager

Hackney Council is looking for someone to lead on the development of the Growth Borough Partnership, to act as a vehicle for enabling the 4 Growth Boroughs (Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest) to achieve their Inclusive Economy aspirations, in the context of the governance, management and transformation of the Olympic Park.

As Growth Borough Partnership Manager you will lead on enabling and supporting the Growth Borough Partnership to get to a workable and deliverable transition plan for the Olympic Park up to 2025 and beyond, working closely in partnership with the LLDC.

You will have responsibility for leading on the strategic development of cross cutting corporate programmes across the Growth Boroughs programmes, for which the London Borough of Hackney is the Accountable Body, and advising on change and transformation.

You should have strong experience of networking, building relationships and partnership working with diverse stakeholders including senior political decision-makers to deliver results.

You should have a solid track record in programme management at a comparable and relevant level to this post, as well as strong presentation skills including preparing board reports, business plans and budgets

Hackney is one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving one of London’s best places to live and work. We have achieved a huge amount: our services, our schools, our public spaces are all amongst the very best. We have changed the reputation, not just of the Council, but of Hackney itself. Bringing jobs and investment into the borough, securing the legacy from the 2012 Games, and making this a place of which we can all be proud.

When applying, it is essential that you include a supporting statement, addressing how your skills, knowledge and experience meet all aspects of the post, as indicated in the job description and person specification.

The recruitment process is anonymous. Please ensure that you do not include your name on any of your supporting documents or on the file attachments.

Closing date for applications: Tuesday 19 January 2021

Interviews: w/c 25 January 2021
