An exciting opportunity of a part time post for an experienced Family Support Worker to join The Consult Team in the North Somerset Fostering Service.

The Consult Team is key in supporting, promoting and enhancing placement stability for all our vulnerable children and young people placed with foster carers.  If successful, you will be working alongside a Consultant Social Worker and another Family Support Worker to provide crucial services to our children and young people, and their carers.  You will provide advice as well as doing direct work, using therapeutic and theraplay approaches and principles such as DDP, Theraplay and NVR, individually or in a group, with the children and young people and their foster carers.

This child-centred and essential service has been recognised and praised by recent Ofsted Inspection as a contributing factor to the good outcome for our children and young people.

We are ambitious for our children in foster care, aiming to provide high standard of care and stability, enjoying, thriving and achieving, reaching full their potential.  We are trauma-informed in our practice and are very proud to be the first in the South West Region to implement Mockingbird Family Model.
