Our Infrastructure Delivery Team aims to facilitate sustainable growth and minimise the impact on existing communities. By ensuring our highway and other infrastructure is useable and safe for the public, we help make Central Bedfordshire a great place to live and work. By working alongside colleagues to deliver a portfolio of projects to ensure local people and communities have outstanding infrastructure and connectivity then you could find your greatness.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Project Manager – Capital to project manage and client the delivery of a portfolio of capital projects. This includes the stakeholder management, corporate reporting, dealing with funding bodies, gaining approvals, budget management, writing works information/specification/scope for design aspects as well as overseeing the quality and timely delivery of design services and construction. You will be required to engage with colleagues in procurement, commercial, site supervision, finance and communications. The current range of capital projects includes Dunstable High Street, Arlesey Relief Road, M1A6 Link Road and Flitwick Interchange.
If you have previous experience in a similar role and a relevant degree, then we would love to hear from you. You will bring enthusiasm and can-do approach and be proficient in using your great communication skills to represent the Council at public meetings, inquiries, and exhibitions to inform or consult with stakeholders as appropriate. It is essential that you build strong working relationships both within and to external stakeholders.
