Land and Property Services has responsibility for extensive portfolios of operational and non-operational premises, including office buildings, libraries, fire stations, rural land, care homes, and many other types of property. Our diverse service delivers everything Property; designing new buildings, managing, maintaining, and adapting existing buildings, acquiring and selling land and property, and managing tenancies, leases, and other agreements.
We are currently recruiting for a Building Support Officer to be based in Woodhatch, Reigate working for Surrey County Council. This is a permanent position. You will support the delivery of a comprehensive maintenance and facilities service and will act as a point of contact for staff in Surrey County Council's main corporate buildings.
A day with us will include supporting the operational running of the building by providing core services that include, but are not limited to postal services, minor maintenance, security, room setup and other customer service-based functions, possibly including reception cover. You, along with the rest of the Facilities Team will ensure that building services and equipment remain operational and provide a safe working environment for our staff and visitors. You will have the opportunity to work across our other Surrey County Council corporate offices and support a variety of different Services and colleagues. The successful candidate will benefit from having basic handyman skills and be able to use their initiative to come up with solutions, often at short notice.
