Do you have an understanding of the barriers people face in finding work? We are looking for a coordinator who can organise a programme of skills and lifestyle support for job-seekers by working with partner agencies in the community.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of the barriers faced by disadvantaged communities. They will be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of providers and agencies. They will have practical experience of providing services in public and community buildings and be able to solve problems and overcome challenges in delivering services to the public.
Experience of working with volunteers, including recruitment and training, is desirable. The Opportunity North Somerset project is a ‘no wrong front door’ approach to employment and skills in the region, which considers the needs of the client, provides a comprehensive approach to personalised support and demonstrates independence and impartiality, enabling local providers to better collaborate and make best use of available provision. The project aims to address individuals' digital and employment barriers and will delivered by partners and providers at libraries across North Somerset. This role will oversee the successful delivery of the project in libraries, working collaboratively with the Project Co-ordinator based in the Economy Team.
